The Ravena Rescue Squad provides primary 911 emergency medical response and ambulance transport across a service area of more than 70 square miles. Our crews are dispatched through Albany County 911 Communications and respond around the clock - every day of the year, including holidays.
As an Advanced EMT-level agency credentialed by the New York State Department of Health, we deliver pre-hospital care that exceeds traditional Basic Life Support. Our ambulances are equipped with cardiac monitors, advanced airway equipment, IV supplies, and a range of medications administered under medical control.
A core part of our mission is making life-saving knowledge accessible to the community. Our certified instructors offer a range of courses for individuals, businesses, schools, and community groups. Group rates and on-site instruction are available upon request.
Full CPR certification courses for healthcare providers, professional rescuers, and community members. Learn adult, child, and infant CPR; AED operation; choking response; and rescue breathing techniques.

For organizations hosting community events, sporting tournaments, parades, festivals, concerts, or other large gatherings, the Ravena Rescue Squad offers contracted standby coverage. A dedicated ambulance and crew remain on-site for the duration of your event, prepared to respond immediately to any medical needs that arise.
Standby contracts are negotiated based on event size, duration, location, and risk profile. We have provided coverage for community fireworks events, school athletic competitions, fundraisers, parades, and large gatherings throughout our service area.
The Ravena Rescue Squad utilizes Emergency Management Resources LLC (EMR) to manage all insurance claims for our services. EMR handles claim submission, follow-up, and patient billing on our behalf.
